Letter to Grade 5... Final Written Assignment!

You have been writing a letter to the Gr. 5 class telling them about what is was like studying Grade 6 Language Arts. I am so happy with your work so far- compare it some of your writing on your blog or in the portfolio from August. It shows a big improvement!
Once you are finished your draft please make sure you have completed the following checks before asking me to look at your work:
1. Read over your letter 2-3 times. Even read it out loud, really listen for parts that don't sound right.
2. Make sure you have an introduction and a conclusion sentence in each paragraph.
3. Make sure you introduce the topic of your paragraphs.
4. What tense did you use? Is it consistent? For most of these letters I guess you would use past tense since you are talking about something that has already happened to you.
5. Last step- have one friend read it over.
This letter is due Monday May 30th.

Bone Comic - Take Home Test

1. Create a five panel comic featured Fone Bone in a new setting and plot.

2. Show your understanding of introduction, problem, building suspense, climax and solution.

3. You may use bitstrips or hand draw the comic.


4. Be prepared to present your comic and answer questions about your PLOT on Friday April 8th 2011.

5. A creative and neat project will always impress me ! :)
